      Clive Cookson 10k for a bit of PB smashing. Made it round in 39:33. Next target is getting to sub 39 minutes
      A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

                        From next month I'm going to try and go running everyday if I can, currently doing around 3 runs a week which isn't enough.

                          Its been a **** month for running with some family stuff this month, but I'm hoping to finish the month strong this week. If I can get to 70km I'll be very happy with that overall.

                          Slinks - I was in Conwy earlier! Nice little town but ****ing **** for parking. A couple of ****ty pay and display car parks that were rammed and I didn't even have any change. The only bank I could see in the town was a Natwest, but it was closed and didn't have an outside cash machine!

                            Cheers. Although I'm nowhere near flying, more like persistent shuffling. Still, progress is being made.

                            And so it needs to - I have a fitness test in September, the results of which will be part of the decision on whether or not I need an operation. I'm considering asking Rowan to go in my place. Anyone know the going rate for a fitness test ringer?

                              How mad's that, I'm only a mile away!! Was going to go to Conwy for my run but opted for Deganwy and then back to mine. I live just off the roundabout which takes you on the cob and Conwy bridge.

                              How come you were around here mate?

                              Yes, not many banks. HSBC near the station shut a month ago so the only place with a registered cash machine is the Spar on the cobbled road. There is one I think in a phone box in the square that's been installed because all the locals have kicked off about HSBC ****ing off!

                              It is a lovely little town, not the best place for parking if you're from out of town. I know some places to park but that's because I'm local. The walls are a beautiful walk, think us as locals take it for granted. I love walking to Conwy as the sun is setting, looks stunning over the estuary.

                              Did you go down the Quay for a pint to the Liverpool Arms? Nice day for it. The Albion is where I normally go it's a real ale pub now.

                                No beers I'm afraid! We had some lovely fish and chips from The Galleon though. Very nice indeed! Apart from that we just walked around the town for a bit. Couldn't do the castle of the city walls as we had a pram! Nice little day out though

                                Well done on the running by the way mate, looks like you're getting back into it. I can see how running around Conwy could be lovely too!
