10.3k in the morning sun. Found it really tough. Way more used to running in the evening. Should that make a difference other than psychologically?
I'm the other way round. As long as I've had breakfast, I find running in the morning far easier. Friday evenings are the worst time for me. By the end of the working week I'm no use to man nor beast, and then having to haul my sorry ass round my usual run circuit finishes me off.
The worst run of 2014, I was in two minds beforehand. A horrible, ponderous 7.5km not helped by a sore ankle. Shocker.
I find that the surprise of having a **** run or even a string of them can only be healed by the true pleasure of an unexpected great one. I suppose you pay for the good ones by sticking out the **** ones. Mind you, after a few **** ones I try to do a bit of interval running. I know it'll be a maximum of 4-5k and over in 20 mins and they really help with the longer runs.
