Lol yup just google/youtube the mentioned exercises & im sure you'll find plenty demonstrative videos on how to perform them.
If working on strength try using 5x5 training...5 sets of 5 reps. You want the weight to be heavy enough to just complete the exercise with good form with maybe enough energy to get out an extra rep or 2 if you had to. You should not go to failure in strength exercises.
Keep us posted on your progress

I'm not sure it is. They reckon a family sportive distance (nice race that you can bimble along at with the kids) is 30 miles so probably not too far. I've a couple of 80 mile cycle races coming up but that's not much to a club rider.Originally posted by wiw View PostIs 50 miles a long way to cycle? It sounds like a bloody long way. To then run the day after..nice one
I'm getting a bit ****ed off by my lack of results in weight loss / fitness. I'm finding the more exercise I do the more knackered I am the next time, despite having rest days etc. Also I'm slowly seeing results in terms of losing fat etc, but still have a flabby ass and belly. I mean it's fine because I'm tall and can hide it, but Operation Look Good Naked is taking it's ****ing time. My diet has been good and cut out alcohol. Maybe I was just a lot fatter than I realised when starting all this exercise stuff
My problem is that my mates are all nuts and they just want to blast it everywhere. As many hills as they can too. So I'm totally pounding it to keep to 16-17 mile an hour and those ****ers are cruising along not even breaking sweat. ******s!
But cycling is mega. Good to mix it up with the running tooA lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Carra 78km
Rowan: 89.2km
Saveloy 69.8km
badpiggy: 50.4km
Pablo: 49.8k
Rich: 276km
Slinky Skills: 18.3km
wiw: 14.72km
Rodo 7.7 km
First bit of speed work in over a month. Messy like. Pace was balls. Got dropped by a load of kids I'd normally smash over 3 miles and my achilles is knocking. Same again tomorrow

No worries squire, will get you a personalised routine done before Saturday.Originally posted by Baracus View PostWeights - Still a novice here, so just Beiceps, Triceps, Shoulder Press, Military Row?? - ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT - JUST ASK AND I'LL GIVE YOU A ROUTINE TO FOLLOW WHICH WILL GROW YOU
Looking for a Routine Subby

Have you access to dumbells/barbels yes? Are you working out at home or at the gym? How long do you want to work out for? How often are you able to work out each week?
One thing I can't stress enough and it's so important that you take this on board before you start....LEAVE...YOUR...EGO...AT...THE...DOOR.
Trying to swing weights that are too heavy for you is counter productive and can injure you. Leave the ego at the door and do lighter weights while practicing the routines. This is to allow you to get good form(do the exercise properly and safely) Having good form means you are getting the most out of your routine and will grow your physique faster than lifting heavier weight and having crap form. At this stage you're wanting to get a good pump of blood into the muscle which will help grow you quicker than going in and doing heavy weight wrong from the start. Stronger muscles and a good physique are a by product of having good form and using weights properly. When you grow, your muscles/physique to a size you are happy with, you'll be lifting heavier weights anyway. Leave the 50kg dumbell for now and stick to lower weights until your body can lift them properly. Concentrating on good form primarily, will result in a good physique. 100% guarenteed.
I'll be in touch
