I actually think that this is a big part of things here. To my mind all of the pressure has back fired. The ECB want to develop a new generation of players and systems having the circus that follows KP around can't help. Without it I think he'd be back in the team.

It's a shame and it shouldn't have come to this. But it has an neither side is covered in glory.
