Twitter is full up of more bile from Piers Morgan.

If anyone needed convincing that he is a major reason behind KP not being around the side, this should be it.

    Called Strauss a 'Vindictive Moron'
    *Except Michael, who died.

Morgan is an idiot, but his views on Pietersen should not be the reason that he does not get in the team.

Also, the reason for Pietersen not being in the team is now because of Strauss, who was only employed at the end of last week. It is utterly bizarre. We are still awaiting confirmation of why he was sacked after the last ashes?

I am a neutral here, and I do not see any reason that Pietersen is not playing for England. The majority of his views on the game have been backed up by the actions of the ECB. The issue with him and Strauss was cleared up when Pietersen was recalled to the team years ago. You could equally call Strauss to task over being caught calling Pietesen a c*nt on air last season as a bias against the player.

What an absolute **** sandwich and cluster f*ck, one that is going to haunt England throughout the summer.

Apparently Strauss offered KP a role as an advisor for the one day team

Surely you either trust someone or you don't? Curiouser and curiouser

That makes no sense at all.

You can't play cricket - but you can advise. Surely that role requires more trust - not less?

I completely agree. It is utterly incoherent from the ECB.

What happened to the chat Pietersen had with Graves where he was told to go and get a county, and then score some runs... Surely Graves would have been as well telling him it was game over then? Its shambolic stuff from the ECB, clearly making it all up on the hoof, and, bottom line, denying the team and spectators one of its greatest ever talents?

If England get it handed to them by NZ, there is going to become a clamour for his inclusion, and any and every defeat is going to make the decision look worse. Baring in mind this is an England team who just handed the WI a test match win, and series draw.

Maybe this makes me a cunt but I hope we lose to NZ. I want all the chickens to come home to roost for those knobheads at the ECB.

I do know what you mean tbh. It's going to take something drastic for any changes to be made.

I said as he was announced I was worried about Strauss coming in and the bollocks he's spouted so far has just confirmed my concerns.

One of those situations where a win will just paper over a bunch of cracks. EBC is becoming a parody of itself - and it needs changing sooner rather than later.

England should be about winning and the fans. This decision helps neither.

I'd say he has already performed worse than expected. Its such a bizarre set of things to say, the issue of trust FFS. And then the bizarre offer of a consultants position...

The England Cricket team were the one England team I supported, even went to watch. I hope they get it rammed right up them this summer.

Cook is somewhere behind all this as well, a meek captain, who doesn't have the ability to look after a flamboyant talent.

I really though KP had a chance but **** me what a ****ing mess the ECB is making this out to be.

A bit fed up with the circus though. I just have to try and seperate the ECB from England. It's now the same as The FA and Club football. Ruling body is a joke.

Against Leicestershire, who haven't won since the dawn of time. I think there is an argument that his latter day test form wasn't good enough to justify picking him at his age either.

He's now doomed to become the uber-Nick Knight ****ting crap attacks around for fun all summer in frustration.
