Nice interview with Andy after the game last night. Though gutted he seems clearly satisfied with his summer, when you read what he was on the verge of it makes you appreciate the form he has been in.
He would have been the first to have reached all 4 Slam finals and an Olympic final.While defeat always hurts, Murray was able to see the wider picture. After the best run of his career he was just two wins away from becoming only the fourth man in the Open era to play in all four Grand Slam finals in the same year.
Cmon Andy, get another couple of Slams next year

He just looked ****ed last night. Those double faults right at the end of the game smacked of fatigue, and even if he had progressed he would have struggled in the next round anyway. That summer schedule for him was brutal, you could say that the Olympic was a slam in its own right - bound to have an impact.Comment
