Rory ripping it up now, -5 for the round through 13….. Deja vu it’s really all about what Scottie does tbh

Something about Max Homa really annoys me.

Walks around like he's just sharted and is trying to remain clenched so it doesn't all run down his leg

He just goes for everything. Cannot help himself. Always has a triple bogey looming over his shoulder with some of the shots he goes for. Its the difference with him and Scheffler really. Scottie's boring, but he's going to keep winning tournaments because he doesn't take risks and just keeps the game so simple

He is such a perplexing player. Just seems to have these periods where his game and decision making is just rank and that really affects him. He literally just needed to be solid through the last 4 holes. He didn’t need to chase.

I love the masters. Some of the golf is just insane. And it really shows how if you drop off 1 or 2 % for a couple of holes it will massively harm your weekend. Interesting to see if Rose can consolidate he was very impressive.

Also WTF with the guy that posted +18

Yeah i saw that too. Wouldn't have helped. He was up there ready to play and then the others all started faffing about.

Still, it was a silly chip. Hitting it that far on THAT green is just begging for trouble. He hit the chip well, its not like he thinned it, he just tried to fly it too long. Feel like thats the kind of thing Tiger and Scottie would never try, they play the safe shot and try sink the putt. Not try chip it to 6"

Love Aberg's game. Just oozes class. Hope he wins it.

Niemann had a great start, but then his driver let him down a bit. Once you start scrambling second shots around that course youre in trouble

I stayed up - I thought going down 15 he was going to post -5 and he right in it. The chip can happen, playing back to the water on such fast greens requires laser precision and he isn’t the first to screw up. He over compensated on the next one and it’s an ugly 7. It’s the 6 on 17 that’s even worse!

He’s not out of it but it’s all on how Rose goes now. Lowry was solid as well so there is still some Irish interest

Its almost like he tries to sabotage his rounds in majors. That chip was so stupid

    Min Woo ftw!

Kid's playing well. That win the other week will have given him loads of confidence.

Can never count out Brooks or Rahm in a major either.

Love Niemann's game too. He didnt play well last year, but will have learned a lot and is in good form.

Morikawa and Matusyama will be around the mark too.

It’s Scheffler as favorite and then after that there’s a load of lads who are close. Course experience matters hugely, I think Lowry, Adberg and Hovland could be decent each way bets and I’ve no idea how the LIV lads are going.

Right you lot...Wasn't sure to use this thread or start a new thread for the Masters 2025...

Will Rory bottle it again or get rid of that monkey off his back by winning it this year?
He needs to get that first round right as reckon it's now or never, not getting any younger!!
