Tbf to Rory the PGA have been utter ****e and he's tried his best to fight this. If he switches I'd have less of a problem than the immediate sell outs.

The structure of golf makes it easier for a hostile takeover, no need to buy a load of teams. Just weaken the main governing body, the prize money and sponsorship situation with the pga means they have no choice but to fold at some point

Yeah probably not, but it does feel like it's incoming. He is definitely distancing himself from the PGA, and his tone has changed as you alluded to in that interview above. It's coming fairly soon I reckon, wouldn't surpise me if we hear rumours soon at least.

I think the failure of the LIV/PGA merger was the end of things. Another cock up by the PGA. That merge was never going to be approved.

I think it unsettled Rahm and others and now they think they may as well take the money and run?

I can't think of another sport that has been so fundamentally ruined as golf is being right now.
