Probably the worst team for the broncos to face in the final with their record against the storm. Hopefully they can get this one right but what a great first season for Maguire. Beating the Panthers might give them that mental boost that they can go on with it now. Coming from 14-0 down to beat the Panthers after they were on the end of the comeback in the final two years ago might give them that belief to beat the Storm.

Now to get my hopes up for the Roar with their preseason and good signings. I wonder how long that will last. I don’t think they’ll be anywhere at the top but maybe they can challenge for a finals spot but I’m probably being very optimistic considering their recent history. But I don’t think they’ll be anywhere as bad as they have been.

Regarding the A League, I’ve not been paying attention so when is it kicking off?

Brisbane vs Penrith was a cracker of a game. I think the win will have taken heaps out of them though so I’d call Melbourne hot favourites

Very happy to see the lions win again and a bit surprised by the score. They look setup to potentially win another one or two in the coming seasons with the squad they have.

It was such a tight contest until just before 3/4 time & so many Geelong players just didn’t handle the occasion. They are a good side the Lions.

Watched an AFLW match last night between Geelong & Hawthorn and damn it was a good game to watch. The skill level is definitely getting better although I do feel there’s probably too many teams as the bottom clubs are terrible to watch. Final score Hawks 42-35.

And here’s hoping for a Geelong win tomorrow in the GF in the Men’s.

I saw he’d won it. That’s a big margin you don’t usually see that big a gap.

While he’s a good player Nick Daicos definitely seems to get all the attention no matter what he does. The usual vic bias in the AFL. It’s one of the reason I hate seeing people like Eddy McGuire having so much influence in the media. And how was he allowed to commentate and all that while being president of Collingwood. Same as Phil Gould in the NRL.

I agree 100%. Daicos was the favorite but he’s never the guy putting his body on the line making the tough tackles etc etc. Daicos is great when someone else is doing the dirty work & the team are doing well. Matty Rowell drags us back into matches when we look down & out. A true warrior.
