That is some comeback, away from home as well

You'd be gutted as a Knights supporter though

Not a surprise. From what I’ve seen Valkanis doesn’t have a great record either and might be another easy cheap option but I’ll be backing him and hope he does well. I saw they’ve also got proper behind the scenes people in now which hopefully helps. Plenty of time for him to get ready for the new season.

As long as they can hold on to O’Shea and that new striker and the young players I’ll be hopefull of a better season.

In the end while they have the same owners I wouldn’t hold my breath on the team ever being competitive again.

Did you watch the Lions Suns game? From the sounds of it the lions won comfortably but didn’t real put the suns away. The Ashcroft brothers look like they’ll be dominating for a while up there. Plenty of other good young players around to keep the team at the top when the older players like Neale and Zorko drop off. I’m sure the suns will get there with Hardwick, full of top young players just need more time to develop.
I watched bits n pieces as every time I switched on the Suns conceded & they’d do ok when I didn’t watch. Yeah the Ashcroft brothers are real talents, much like the Daicos brothers at Collingwood. I’m pleased with the progress the Suns are making for sure & the Club are on the right track with Hardwick.

    Loved this reply

I just hope they get a few extra garlic breads if they win.

It’s been a strange season. Teams all over the place and the new boys winning it. Brisbane finishing the season as the form team says it all. With less money in the salary cap next season it should be interesting to see what happens.

Sydney got dry bummed by Melbourne City 5-1. Sydney only needed a point to make top 6 but capitulated to let Adelaide claim 6th.

Brisbane Roar with a 2-1 away win in Gosford sees them undefeated in 4 matches.

Suns will be up for it no doubt and it will be a great watch. Maybe too early in the season or even a season before they’re a genuine top team for September.

But both teams have got stacks of great young players and could be the top two for a few years to come.
Yeah history says the Lions should win it but I’m not ready to roll over just yet.

Yeah Sydney is in the transition season with a new coach ( just like we thought Liverpool were supposed to be ) and they’ve lost a lot of quality midfielders the past few seasons so it’ll take some time.
