Yup they’ve gone off the boil a bit. I don’t know if it’s the style of play not being sustainable as they’re not going to score a lot of goals and it’s a very intense style or they got on a good run and have dropped to where they belong now. They’ve also had to play a lot of games in short space of time which is unusual for the league and doing it in the middle of summer won’t help.

But one big factor is Herrington going. Australia have a real talent in defence. I remember Zadkovich labelled him the best defender in the league last season and everyone laughed. While he was exaggerating he’s clearly a very good young player.

Adelaide led 1-0 through Goodwin & were the better side & thought they’d scored a 2nd goal in the 2nd half but VAR overturned it minutes later. Victory equalised shortly after & thought they’d scored the winner but VAR overturned it minutes later for an offside player hindering the keepers view & then in the 97th of 97 minutes Kitto hit a beautiful header into the net for a 2-1 win.

There’s definitely a feel good factor around the Club at present so here’s hoping we can get off to a good start & get some momentum. First trial match is this Thursday night vs Dolphins which will be a good hit out.

Good timing with Tino considering the Haas news that’s just come out. Big loss for Brisbane but he’s done so much for them and stayed when they were so bad. They’ve got a couple of good young forwards who can hopefully fill the gap but it’s a big ask.

That honestly seems a bit weird. I’ve seen that as well but I don’t think the journalist who wrote that is the most reliable. It would be seriously stupid of the Broncos to do that.

I think it was more about having a get out clause for that stupid R360 and the money players would make, he was heavily linked with that competition before it got delayed. It sounds like Souths have given him the chance to break his contract if it comes around again.

Titans 24–12 winners over the Dolphins. They scored their 2 tries to get back in front from 0-10 while we had our fullback in the sin bin. Really good performance

Who would have tipped the Eels & the Titans to be undefeated in the pre season trials? I fancied our chances against the Storm tonight but 42-12 I did not see coming. The boys are playing with confidence hey.

I’ve never been a fan of the Eels but the Lomax situation has me on their side. The Storm showing their true colours and going to the NRL like they’ve been wronged is ridiculous. Is he even that good a player for all this mess.

I honestly don’t mind if the Titans do well. I like seeing the Queensland teams up the top. It’s Melbourne I want to see drop off big time for a while. But the Lomax situation makes it look like certain people want to make sure they’re always competitive being in the AFL heartland.
