They’ve been on the slide since Stajcic got fired. There is other stuff with that with what was said originally and then other stuff that came out after, don’t really know the full story and haven’t looked in to it, but they’ve not been as good since then.Originally posted by SB View PostThe Matilda’s are getting spanked in the She Believes Cup 4-0 by Japan. Their form has fallen off a cliff recently.

They’ve got strike power in their back line & should score points for fun if everyone stays fit but we out enthused them . We got good meters from our forwards & our spine of AJ, Campbell & Kini carved them up. I still expect Dolphins in the 8 though.Originally posted by Sus View PostHow do the Dolphins look to you, SB?
A great initiative actually. You effectively play 2 quarters against the other 2 sides. Lions beat Collingwood, Suns then beat Lions & then we beat Collingwood.Originally posted by peterbread View PostWhat was with that three way game between the suns, lions and Collingwood?Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

It will be interesting to see if someone can knock Penrith off this year. To dominate like that in a comp where not many teams win back to back in recent history is amazing. Especially when they have lost plenty but keep producing new players.
I wonder if teams around the world look at them now to learn about the continued production line from within their own system. I wonder if the Broncos get themselves back to where they were they can match that production, they seemed to have that set up previously. But then they do have more competition with 3 other Queensland teams now, 2 very close by too.

Gus Gould was credited with the culture developed within the junior ranks & so many of their star players played all their junior footy together so little transition time required. Now that he’s at the Bulldogs it’ll be interesting to see if he can replicate that there. Jerome Luai will be a big loss when & if Cleary gets injured.Originally posted by peterbread View PostIt will be interesting to see if someone can knock Penrith off this year. I can’t stand the muppet as a commentator but he is good at identifying talent, of that there’s no doubt.Originally posted by peterbread View PostI’m pretty sure Gus went up and took a lot from the broncos in his setup with Penrith. But yeah he’s done a great job there, not a fan of his but he knows what he’s doing. If he gets the Dogs going the same he’ll have everyone knocking on his door even from other sports.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Haha I do have a look on a Broncos forum every now and then and I can agree there are some unreal expectations there. They seem to feel entitled to being top all the time and have massive whinges about so many clubs. The whole Billy Walters Kevin Walters thing was so funny to see. Some sensible takes but so many lost their minds with it.
There is some similarities with Liverpool, not the fans, but how the club didn’t progress with the times and got stuck doing it the broncos way which no longer worked and always wanted the old boys back. Hopefully they’re past that now and can get back to earning some more success.
It would be great to see all 4 Queensland teams do well. Imagine all four in the top 8. NSW would want to rewrite the rules to stop it happening again.
And everyone should hate the storm and the roosters.

I dislike the Broncos as much as Melbourne Storm.
