    Villa Buildup Thread

I know our form is shocking but I really hope we can beat Villa Telegraph is saying Agger and Johnson maybe fit

" Meanwhile, Daniel Agger and Glen Johnson are ready to give Liverpool a timely injury fillip before next week’s FA Cup semi-final with Everton at Wembley.
The duo hope to play in one of the next two Premier League games, either against Aston Villa on Saturday or at Blackburn Rovers next Tuesday.
The pair have been sorely missed in recent weeks as Liverpool have suffered six defeats in their last seven league games."

If fit I would like to see Doni
    Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
    Kuyt Gerrard Spearing Maxi
    Suarez Carroll

I'll keep supporting the team if the team earn their wages.

For me the fight back starts here, we need to dust our selves down, have a good look in the mirror and ask ourselves how badly do we want it and are we up to it, we need to bread winning into the team, at the moment as way pointed out on the excellent Anfield Wrap podcast, we have learnt how to lose and do it well, its in this teams DNA right now, we need to change that and fast.

This should be a win. Aston Villa are absolutely terrible in terms of their build-up play and pretty much all over the place.

3 points here. More worried about the Blackburn game on Tuesday.

I reckon that villa could beat us to be honest..... they came from 2 down at home to Chelsea to level it to 2-2 and should have had a free kick just outside the box.....the ref didn't bother with it, chavs ran up and scored a 3rd..... sickener for them.....

However, if our players are up for it, then we win....simple as that........

If it turns out to be another crappie effort, then serious questions will be asked of the management and coaching team.......also, this is a very important game because i think if we lose this, then we will probably lose against Blackburn as well - which would be a meltdown....... and going into the cup semi, we'd be totally on the ropes.....

Jaysus, the next 3 games are going to be crucial....

In terms of line-up, i'd like to see:

                  ----------------------------DONI---------------------------

                  FLANAGAN--------SKRTEL---------AGGER-----------JOHNSON

                  --------------SPEARING----------GERRARD------------------

                  DOWNING------------------------------------------BELLAMY

                  ----------------------------------SUAREZ------------------

                  ----------------------CARROLL-----------------------------

I'd drop Spearing for this one and play Shelvey instead. Its not like Spearing makes any tackles anyway.

Also if Downing plays it has to be on the left, not on the right.

Sterling needs to be on the bench again this time.

I'd also have Adam Morgan on the bench too personally.

If Spearing is picked yet again it'll be pretty depressing

Didn't Shelvey start away to Villa and play really well earlier in the season??

                            I'd pick -
                            Doni
                            Flanagan Skrtel Coates Enrique
                            Kuyt Henderson Gerrard Downing
                            Carroll Suarez

Johnson and Agger obviously play if fit.
I'd also definitley have Sterling on the bench
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I'd play a back 3. The 4-4-2 formations with either no DM or Spearing clearly hasn't worked. I'd be okay with Spearing playing in a more advanced midfield role.
