There is no fear when you play us

You can attack us and give our forwards some chances safe in the knowledge that they arent very likely to take them

Teams coming to Anfield know what to expect, an intense first 20/30 minutes were you are under constant pressure, if you can get through that without conceding then we start to fade mentally. It's been the same all season and I don't expect this game to be any different.

        Disagree partially with this

The difference is if we didnt score early in the season they were probably nullified by us

        Now we are wide open

If they take the game to us, we'll fall apart.

I can't see McLeish taking the game to us, I think this has 0-0 written all over it.

The only area of Villa that worries me is the width and pace from their wingers; hopefully if Johnson is back and Enrique has a good game, we can push them deeper ... then it's just a case of finding a goal in us. I think Villa will be missing a midfield, so I'd be happy for Shelvey to get a start and hopefully he can get himself in the box and cause a mischief.

                *optimism engaged*

I feel oddly confident about this one. We've doubtless had a poor season, but our results of late have still been worse than we really are. If we turn up and actually manage to find the back of the new relatively early in the game I could see the floodgates opening just a little and a few going in.

Really, to gain any respectability with our league position we need to take at least 15 points out of the possible 21. Looking at the fixtures though that is perfectly possible, a good result in this game might be enough to turn the current weak mentality around.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                Mine angry and defrauded young?

I'm actually expecting a 3-1 loss with Doni in goal and Agger still out injured.

I don't know, we are one of the worst teams in the league at the moment.

Results wise, yes. McLeish wouldn't know how to set up a team to attack, so I'm hoping our performance mirrors the start of the Newcastle game and as long as we don't concede, it's just on us to score. Hence my 0-0 prediction.

                          Is he definitely still out?

                            Anyone remember this?

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

It doesn't say one way or the other if he's back, but it's encouraging:

Daniel Agger is edging closer to a first team return after recovering from a cracked rib.

The Danish defender has been sidelined for the past six weeks since sustaining the injury in the Carling Cup final.

"Daniel is responding well to training and he's not too far away," said boss Kenny Dalglish.

"Glen Johnson (calf) and Martin Kelly (ankle) are progressing as well.

"But I would say Daniel is probably the one who will be first back."
