He blatantly assualted someone though. Why should the rules be different for him than non footballers. He deserves the prison time IMO, but should also be made to receive counselling

I wish that help rather than imprisonment was the norm to be honest.

Really? Couldn't agree with that less to be honest. We are already too soft on criminals in this country, that would just be the final straw IMO.

And would you feel the same if your girlfriend/friend/family member was on the receiving end of a beating like that?

We are forgetting that 'the other guy' in this incident isn't an innocent party though. I don't think you can complain if you engage someone agressively, and agression is the response.

Yeah but in Barton's case he is a repeat offender - he deserves a spell imo.

Ok, but if he isn't given counselling and support, as well as a custodial sentence, then he'll keep repeating the cycle.

I know you claim to be pretty old, but surely it wasn't that long ago you went to school that you've forgotten how to use a bit of grammar, spelling and punctuation? Your posts hurt my eyes

waits for someone to find something wrong with my post

Capital letter at the start of your white text and a full stop after eyes.

Mate, I work in criminal defence. You think I don’t know that? Thing is, though, he repeatedly does it. Again and again and again. There is a time when you have to just accept that he’s a ****, simple as that, and that he deserves everything he gets. He has the tools, the backing and the money to get help. Whether or not he takes it seriously is another matter entirely.

If he was a rabid dog, which he is, he would have been put down! Bring back ****ing hanging! That would scare off the scallies/thugs from doing all these atrocities & ban the violent tendencies on TV, Dvds & games as they don't help an already "sensitive" generation!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

                                I hope that's brilliant satire.
