I don't think United would hate to see Berbatov go anywhere else more than Real or Citeh.

      Fingers crossed.

Citeh have also lodged bids for David Villa and Mario Gomez

If the transfer window is midnight tonight then how can they possibly get these deals done?

Wow. A partnership of Villa and Berbatov would be electric.

think i heard it was Gomes.

looks like there're only going for forwards.

                  From the bbc:

"1713: Fact time: Manchester United have been speaking to Dimitar Berbatov. Classic United, this. They'll agree terms, get him to sign a medical and then force Spurs to accept a lower bid for him as the clock ticks towards midnight. Allegedly. "

So true (although I'm not sure what signing a medical involves.

It may all largely be a publicity stunt. If so it has worked!

The reason it worked is because there is no doubt as too them having the cash, like Chelsea, any rumour, no matter how stupid the price, or how big a name the player, will now be taken a whole lot more seriously where City are concerned.

If Berbatov is worth £36m then what is Torres worth?

Despite the fact Berbatov is said to be at Carrington, Daniel Levy confirms Spurs have refused United permission to talk to the player.
