Only problem is, he wouldnt get in ahead of torres and after paying £20m for keane, rafa's likely to play him most of the time.

Zaki is not in our class. His first touch is poor and his work rate is not at the amazing levels people make out. There were times in the game v City where he just stood around despite being three feet away from an opposing player with the ball. He made no effort to close down the player. Watch him more closely next time.

He is certainly not the next David Hirst or Alan Shearer. He is more like Kevin Davies, who himself was quite the goal scorer until clubs realised this and started to actually bother marking him. Now he's just a battering ram who fouls opponents for fun. At the very best he may yet be comparable to Roque Santa Cruz, but he's a long way to go before being compared to him.
      Forwards.......

Good player but he's built like a brick **** house and too much time on the bench might leave him a bit Molbyesque and with Torres and Keane around couldn't see him starting every week for us.

He's not good enough. Judge him after a season, nothing special in my opinion.

I didn't actually say that. I said he reminds me of a cross between the two, in terms of the way he plays.

Too early to tell (as I said he needs to do it over a full season - and then some) but he certainly looks far better than Kev Davies (another one I watched since he was a teenager).

Davies has only recently become a barrel-chested battering ram. For many years he was a skinny winger-cum-striker who was never a goalscorer of any repute whatsoever. He scored about 20 odd in over 100 games for Chesterfield, got his big move to Southampton where he scored fewer than 10, moved to Blackburn where he scored one goal, and then found himself a burly hitman at Bolton.

That man is quality. Would love if he was a Liverpool player.

Santa Cruz's header this weekend was absolutely top-drawer. He's the best header of a ball I've seen in many a year.

He's a great header of the ball, about 10 of his 20 or so goals have been headers. For that reason I think he'd be waisted at Liverpool, we don't throw enough crosses into the box to warrant having him in the line up.

Yup, looks like a real player, that second goal was stunning.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                              Mine angry and defrauded young?

I'm not surprised. He dominated the last two African championships and I mean dominated.

The strange thing is that no one of the big clubs signed him up before. Now his price will probably be £25m+.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
