i have a feeling that he wont carry this form on for long, he didnt do anything (apart from the second goal, which i still think was a fluke) which another big strong striker couldnt do, he just put pressure on the defender and keeper when they had the ball

if he carrys on scoring until the end of the season i will be amazed

He had two chances all game, one which he created himself from nothing, and he put them both away. In fact the second goal was so ridiculous it wasnt even a half chance.

So thats no chances and two goals. Not bad if you ask me.

id call being 1 on 1 with the keeper a pretty good chance. im saying id score 7/10 in that situation.

second was an amazing goal, but could he do it again?

Im sure you would calmly slot it past Pepe 1 on 1 70% of the time too! And anyway my point was he made that chance entirely on his own.

The other goal came completely out of nothing. From an overhit cross that would normally have flown out for a throw in. No one could call that cross a chance.

So he had pretty much one chance all game, which he created himself, and he scored 2 goals

As for whether he can do it again, who knows, those goals are very rare. But if the lad has a chance at goal, yes, I would back him to take it, maybe even more than 70% of the time

Someone on the Beeb said that Wenger had his scouts at the ANC and Bruce asked for a striker- that was the recommended buy.

damn right i would. yes he made it on his own, by hasstling a defender, not by using any skill- which any strong player could do

Yeah whatever Meff, that's why you're a highly paid professional footballer right?

Zaki deserves the credit not just for the speed at which he closed Agger down, the fact that he predicted the little jink that Agger tried to get past him, and then to calmly slot the ball under the advancing Reina with ease...but of course, you could do all that.

Any striker could do it you say? Against Agger? One of the most accomplished defenders with the ball at his feet, was easily dispossed by a striker...but then, any striker would do it...which makes Agger **** then really?

you dont need to be a highlt paid professional to score a 1-on-1 fella.

and agger was hardly at his best for those few seconds was he? if thats him at his best, he'd still be playing sunday league.

He hasn't scored as prolifically as he did before he got injured. I would imagine his admirers have decreased week after week.

That injury knackered his season and he's not been anything like the same since he came back. He's a talented lad and I look forward to seeing him play next season.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I also think that he linked well with Heskey and in the absence of someone similar/as good he has struggled a bit. He does look to have talent although I think that if he hadn't taken penalties and hence upped his scoring stats then people wouldn't have been so struck by him. He has a lot going for him and it is only his first season in the PL. Are Wigan nailed on to sign him permanently?

According to my mate who is a Wigan fan they don't even have first option on him, presumably his club are hoping to have put him in the shop window and sell to the highest bidder
