the best that can happen is he'll be injury hit like his last 3 or 4 years but thats the only reason i'd say he's been '****'. he scores wherever he goes

In a decent side and with a run of games, he will score goals.

We're all saying he's passed his best and we know that he is, but we know he WILL score goals for them. And it's the fact that he's signing for THEM that will get on rafa's goaty!

We should sign him and stick him in the reserves!

Mercenary wee f***** i say. He doesnt need the money so why not sign for Hull? play every week, score a few and get back in the England squad if that's what he's after...

Hope Carra breaks his f****** leg.

          Hail Nando!

Any player at the age of 29 who has a point to prove and had the choice between Stoke or Hull and Man utd would be an idiot to choose one of the lesser 2 teams.

I'll probably have egg on my face when he is PL top scorer next year. My bet is though he will be **** all year and then score a hat trick against us. The *******.

In four years at Newcastle, Michael Owen started 65 games and scored 30 goals. He is reported to have cost the relegated club an eye-watering £41m in fees and wages. (BBC)

He never finished top scorer when he was with us and at his best, so I don't think there's any risk in that happening

Good luck to him. He paid his penalty for leaving us when his career plunged off a cliff. FFS - he had to play for Newcastle for 4 years. (or try to play).
I wouldn't be so confident he would. So ****ing what if he had no other option, he's sold his soul to the devil and showed a total lack of respect for the club that helped him make a name for himself in the first place and stood by him through his many injuries. ****ing furious, i think i'll be physically sick when i see him with the United kit on for the first time.

Finding it very difficult to imagine mo with the ****e of utd on his back, but i bet he's buzzin at the thought, and won't need to think twice about the possible repercussions or awkwardness that may arise due to his once lauded status at LFC.

He could be part of an Alex Ferguson side that takes our record once and for all....Shame on him!!! He couldn't have joined them at a more crucial time in history.

The guy is finished and he's also a jinx. Mancs won't win the title with him in the books, mark my words people.

They will create clear chances for him and the ******* will score them

It's a great opportunity for Owen, I didn't think a top side would be interested in him. I doubt he'll offer much in return, but it's a low risk gamble for Ferguson. I just don't rate him now, and couldn't care who he plays for. He's always been mercenary, he's missed out on glory because of poor decisions in the past and hopefully he'll do the same in the future.

He might score a few but he'll be a terrible strike partner for both Rooney (Owen can't lead the line in his state) and especially Berbatov. Just imagine what will happen if Rooney is out for a couple of months. They'll be royally ****ed, and I'll piss myself every game they play Berbatov and Owen up front.

If he manages to stay fit of course, which is another question mark.
