seriously though - i would go for Zinedine Zidane - probably the best player in my 'era' of watching football, and anyone who can physically be sick through nerves before taking a penalty and literally 10secs later compose himself and put it top corner has bottle.

Graham Alexander. Never missed one, always takes them.

                    Le Tissier

He missed 2 in his whole career - both as an amateur and a pro. One when he was 15 and playing in a final just before going to Soton, my old man was his coach and wen ballistic and the other one was playing for Soton

This tale is confirmed by the man himself and my old boy who takes great pleasure in reminding Le Tissier every time he sees him over a few jars

It would have to be Le Tiss or Cantona

Le Tissier was excellent. In addition to the ones mentioned I think Gareth Barry is also a good penalty taker, Frank Lampard has a high success rate too.
                            Quit your jibber jabber!!!

Jermaine, you know the song Billie Jean...is it about the tennis player??

                              And the winner is......

                              MATT LE TISSIER.

                              Style:

Right foot - Le Tissier once said:

'I was fortunate that my technique enabled me to side-foot the ball but also with quite a lot of power.

I always went for the corners.

I wasn't brave enough to hit it straight down the middle.'

and nobody mentioned Phil Neal (5th).

                              2. Ray Stewart
                              3. Alan Shearer
