assaidi will cover the left wing. with the running the wingers will need to do we will always need to have replacement options available on the bench for when they are knackered.

if you play suarez from the wing you will stifle his contribution as he will not be on the ball or central to the play when the ball is on the other flank. in the middle he will always be an option.
I think that's the problem right there, you have to accommodate him rather than him fitting into the system we are clearly trying to play.

If Rodgers could some how keep the fans happy and use Gerrard more as an impact player I think we'd benefit massively.

I wouldn't suggest using Suarez as a winger, all that would really change is he does his closing down in a different area of the pitch. In an attacking sense I'd let him do whatever he wants, he's the type of player you just need to let get on with it because he's a mental genius

For each of the 3 attacking positions we should have 2 options

Left wing: someone new and Assaidi
      Centre: Suarez and Borini
Right wing: Walcott (please) and Sterling

      I'd be happy with that.
It would improve us massively, I think we just need to replace our **** players, which to be honest isn't harsh because we have a fair few with better.

With Walcott having little time remaining on his contract I'd be happy with him in and Downing out, we'd probably be able to cover the cost with the sale.

Jovetic would be an outstanding signing but to get the best out of him you need to play him behind the main striker even though Fiorentina uses him sometimes as a striker too (and allows him to roam and move freely to wide positions also).

That said we cannot afford him and we missed out on our chance when Rafa wanted him but H&G ****ed everything up.

Hope he starts against Wigan and if it's on the RW again then I hope Johnson is playing behind him.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think his best role is currently coming off the bench to play centrally. If he starts out wide, he finds it hard to affect the game and drifts in and out of play. But off the bench he can have a real impact - especially against tiring legs. Play Shelvey for 60 minutes to give the opposition a real phyiscal battle, then introduce young Suso. I think these sort of cameos could do wonders for his confidence whilst starting him - when he's struggling to impact the game - could undermine it.

                          Yeah, I agree with that.

I do have massive hopes for the lad. I think he'll go on to be a star.

Yeah i like that too. So who to play on the right? And how I'd Shelvey going to get a start with Stevie , Sahin & Allen near on shoe ins each week?

Think he's probably my fav player at the mo after Luis.

I just love what he does and how he does it.

Could be, i hope, a big player for the club going forward.

I'd say Sahin shouldn't be an automatic starter until he starts justifying his inclusion. He's been decent in the slower-paced Cup Games but in the League he's been poor, Norwich aside. In fairness to him, he's probably been played too far forward as he's more of a deep-lying playmaker like Xabi, but he doesn't seem to have the strength/mobility to play in that role at the moment in the Prem. Maybe when the team's more settled - or Lucas gives us more defensive stability - that might be an option.

And who should play on the right? At the moment, I'm not sure, but I'd like to see Assaidi given a go as he seems good on both his left and right feet. He can interchange with Sterling and, when we get Johnson back on the right bombing on, he'll be dangerous cutting inside.
