I'm sorry, Reading outclassed us over 2 games. It was their players who were running at our players taking them on, using skill, pace and creating space for each other. It was their players that were playing as a team and yes you are quite right, it was their team that showed more fight and again you are quite right... beat us - deservedly.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostDid people get their view of midweek from just listening to the pricks at ****v?
Reading never outclassed us, beat us and showed more fight, but certainly never outclassed us.

I disagree, I thought we had control for most of the game, we failed to make chances however. They had 2 chances in each half and a ridiculous penalty.Originally posted by SimonNo7 View PostI'm sorry, Reading outclassed us over 2 games. Yes we did have control for some good periods but they played the better football and they created the better chances as we seem to be devoid of ideas once we get to the oppositions area. You even said it yourself 'we failed to make chances', they did not. Yes they had a ridiculous penalty (it was not a penalty) but we were once again sitting on a 1-0 lead inviting them onto us and their pressure got them their bit of luck which led to a deserved equaliser which had been on its way for quite some time.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostI disagree, I thought we had control for most of the game, we failed to make chances however. Surely you do not think over the 210 minutes we deserved to win that tie. If you do fair play to you but I cannot see how you can and therefore we will agree to disagree

They never played better football, they countered well and that is all. They controlled well at the Madjeski, but at Anfield it was really was just counters. We were very poor in creating chances sadly.Originally posted by SimonNo7 View PostYes we did have control for some good periods but they played the better football and they created the better chances as we seem to be devoid of ideas once we get to the oppositions area.
