I'm sorry to type this but the Scum showed us how to do that. Playing very badly by all accounts they get a bit of a scruffy goal and that gives them confidence which they use and go and get the second goal, effectively killing the game off.

When we go one up, I wouldn't be surprised if most of us expect an equaliser rather than a second because we think it is enough and sit back. We seem to have a massive mental block over this.

You're right it is this season, but when we scored today it should of given our players a lift, even if it was only a little lift. It should of told them that they were playing well and that they'd coped with Stoke's play, gone and scored a goal and if they carried on playing as they were they could possibly go on and get a second. Instead they just went on the defensive and thought that they'd done enough and that one goal was enough. Instead of building they retreated. It appears that it is a massive mental block they have and you have to wonder if they have the strength to get past it. On current form it would appear they haven't.
