Like a good red wine, keepers normally improve with age and LFC have been woefully guilty of giving up on some very good keepers in the past following mistakes. Unfortunately there is no hhiding place from a goalkeeping error...Pepe has not become a bad keeper overnight, however, the support structure and competition has.

I think pepe is one of the best keepers in the world, the last 12 months he hasnt been, im not having a go, hes just not living up to the high standards he sets for himself

maybe in hindisght we will look back and say 20 mill for reina is a cracking price and his replacement his better, like torres? but we'll never know now

I'd like to see if we can bring back Xavi Valero.

He is free as far as I know (the stint with Inter is over) and lives in the area.

We cannot bring any other decent goalkeeper now nor we don't have any money but we could and should bring Valero back.

Pepe was a top notch goalkeeper when he was the coach and he knows Pepe's weaknesses and strengths like no one else.

Surely Reina is experienced enough to be able to talk to the Manager about the coaching situation if the methods of the current coach are working directly against him.

He was awful today, he's been ****e for a while.

**** that, he's paid extremely well for his trouble and it doesn't take motivation not to drop the ball in his own net on a consistent basis. Surely even if you're right there has to be pride in it at least for him? Its not like keepers for all sides that do badly just become **** by proxy.

I genuinely can't remember the last time Reina kept us in a game. Truly in form keepers can make a big difference to a team, currently the only difference Pepe is making to us is a negative one. Very worrying.

I mentioned a good few seasons back he doesn't save enough shots period. Lovely bloke with a bubbly character but he really isn't anything above average. He was a long time ago. As for who's the ****ing goalkeeping coach, people are looking for excuses. The buck falls with reina. Start saving shots or **** off in January. It might be best for both parties.
