    Thank you, Captain Sensible.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

That is quite a big if though mate, as all signings are a risk and unknown quantities within the dressing room. Plus it has taken years to get a decent keeper suggesting that it is a difficult position to fill.

Longer term, what if that keeper who has offered a similar level of performance, in a couple of years time, wants bigger wages? Are we then meant to sell him on and look for another player who we hope will offer a similar level of performance but wants smaller wages?

In short, maybe the unknowns outweigh the potential advantage of saving some money. High risk/low gain, etc.

          I tend to agree.

So, if we sell...how good is Vorm and how much would he cost wage wise? I assume we could buy him for less than we sell Reina? Assuming, obviously.

For the record I don't want Reina sold but to say it's going to take us into certain mediocrity is wrong IMO. He'd be difficult to replace but he's not been great for over 2 seasons (probably beachball gate) I don't buy it's about the wages but more likely his sustained dip in form and the potential to cash in whilst we'd command a high fee for him.

In all honesty though it's probably all bollocks and Pepe will be here for a good few more seasons.

If Reina is supposed to be so poor and on so much money, how can we expect to get much of a transfer fee?

Who said he's so poor? He has had a long term dip in form though. He will still command a good fee IMO

I really hope so mate as I think getting rid of him to cut wages would be a massive mistake.

I wasn't trying to suggest that you wanted Reina sold - apologies if it came across that way.

I've decided it has to be total bollocks.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

No worries, I can understand why we might be willing to cash in on him though but replacing him is and won't be easy.

it does sound really far fetched

So why do you want him sold?

Truth or not, IMO Pepe will not be sold in this window. It just wouldn't make any sense. Having said that, not signing another striker in the last window didn't make any sense
