and just think wow, it's perfect, probably the most complete midfield I have seen

atm, on paper at least other than Rooney and Evra(a **** but very very good left back) i dont' see anything that makes me jump out my seat and **** my pants ---------brown, fletcher, o shea, carrick, nani, valencia, berbatov, a crocked ferdinand an at times shaky vidic and on their last legs van der sar, neville, giggs and scholes.

Nothing other than rooney and say evra stands out..........where as maybe through bias, i'd argue that we have Reina, Mascherano, Gerrard and Torres that stand out on any team sheet.

I'll put it out there.............United are a one man team.........but it's Ferguson not rooney.

Thats why i have said for all these years, that once that **** finally goes it will be massive loss for them, they may really struggle to recover for a few years - the important thing for us is we need to be in a position to pounce when it happens.

    Very well put.

I also think they still have the fear factor.....which to be fair is mainly down to fergie's ginsoaked aura as well i suppose

I've been saying all season there's nothing special about their team if you compare their strongest 11 to ours there aren't many players I'd swap like for like. Evra, and the wingers (not because they're outstanding but because we don't have any) are the only one's I'd swap. Rooney and Torres are about the same level. The frustrating thing is Torres always seems to get alot of injuries while Rooney gets almost none

On paper our team seems to have the better players; their team is the classic greater than the sum of its parts, our team unfortunately seems less than the sum of it's parts

Just had SSN on, **** me they aren't half milking the red card/surrounding the ref/Bayern targeted Rooney ****e. It's pathetic. Clutching at straws beyond belief. They've got that cunt Lou Macari on crying about Bayern players surrounding the ref. "Something has got to be done about this"

As for the slanderous bull**** about the Bayern players going after Rooney's ankle - there was ONE challenge from van Buyten. One challenge, and even that was shin high and nowhere near his ankle.

I could listen to the excuses all day. Hilarious.

It's pathetic, now they know how everyone else feels when they play against them. For years they have been surrounding and moaning at referees constantly. Everytime a decision goes against them someone is in the referees face having a moan, Rooney, Fletcher, Ferdinand and Evra are terrible for it, not to forget the older generation Giggs and the c**t Neville in particular. And that's just the players they have at the moment

                ****ing excuses excuses excuses!

                Opta Stats

Both Bayern Munich and Barcelona (17+18) had more shots on target than Arsenal and Man Utd combined (5+10) in the CL QFs. Outgunned
If Ginsoak was the tactical genius that the media would like to make out he is why did he not take off Raphael, who is a liability on a yellow card, and bring on O Shea before the red.

Also after the Red why leave Nani uptop, surely you want a player who can hold up the ball and buy some time with 10 men?

The deluded prick thinks he can do what he wants and then blame everyone else when they dont win.

                    - i'd agree, starting XI on paper - evra would walk in, the wingers would as you say purely because we have none, and i'd certainly have rooney.

Love this from the BBC write-up :-

Ferguson threw on Dimitar Berbatov for the closing stages but Bayern closed out the game in composed manner as Old Trafford suffered bitter disappointment in near silence.

Every time I watch them it becomes a bigger and bigger joke that Mascherano is the only victim of the 'respect campaign'. BTW what happened to that?

FOOTBALL FANS IN GERMANY-MAN UTD HATE CONUNDRUM

FOOTBALL fans across Britain are still trying to pin down exactly who they hated most in last night's Champion's League quarter-final.

Bayern Munich beat Manchester United on away goals after a bad-tempered game that saw the first United player sent off at Old Trafford since Lou Macari shot the referee in the neck with a crossbow in 1978.

A furious Sir Alex Ferguson said: "It is so typical of the Germans to insist that the rules of the game are applied in exactly the right way.

"Every time we kicked the ball out, the referee gave them a throw-in or a corner and then he awarded them two goals based on the absurd argument that the ball had travelled over the line. This is Alice in Wonderland stuff."

Meanwhile neutral fans are facing an intense moral dilemma given that Germany plunged the globe into worldwide conflict before building a huge and resilient economy, whereas Manchester has emitted both Terry Christian and the Prius-driving Gary Neville.

Football analyst Martin Bishop said: "It's a bit like Jude Law becoming a suicide bomber and blowing up your local pub.

"While having that beautiful little head sprinkled over a 300 yard radius is clearly a good thing, it was quite a nice boozer."

Experts said the ethical dilemma will be further intensified in the semi finals when the team from the cradle of Nazism take on some French people.

Bishop added: "I suspect Uefa will be asked to institute a temporary rule change so they can both lose. And possibly get beaten with some nice, big sticks into the bargain."
