Thanjk you.

Yes, I think that's exactly the reason the rule was introduced, to encourage the away team to attack. Before it applied in Europe then the away team in the first leg tended to be incredibly negative and try to shut down the game.
PS Want some random golf clubs?
Yeah i forgot about how incredibly negative the away side could be, especially in European games, in the first leg.
Leicester would have gone through on the away goals tonight....but would we have seen such an attacking game?
What golf clubs you got? I'm a bag short if anything......got a complete set but my woods are pretty rubbish. Also don't you live in London, it'd be pretty expensive to post them up here, no?
Of course im very grateful for the offer and pretty interested too

I'll have a look and see what they are - last time I looked half of them had been nicked. I'll dig it out and we can PM.
Good point about postage - maybe it depends on how soon it is before I head up to the north-west for a work meeting. Nothing scheduled at the moment but that might change soon.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
Pleased for Dave Jones, seems a good bloke and has had some **** to put up with.
His teams play good football too. In fact the three coming up will be a bit of a pleasant change stylistically this year no matter who wins the play offs.

I didn't realise that away goals dont count in the play-offs looked on teletext after the fulham game and assumed they'd lost then watched the highlight later and penalties!
I realy hope Cardiff make it but them and Blackpool have bene the form sides during the league run in so anything might happen. If Cardiff dont go up they'll probably go into administration, so a huge game coming up at Wembley. Cardiff is a real sleeping giant, a year in the prem and they could fill a 40k stadium week in week out and Cardiff as a city is going places too. So glad Swansea didn't make the play offs as that would have just been a big fight waiting to happen.

Whatever, he could have blasted it wide or placed it and had it saved. It's a lottery and he failed. not sure the stats would indicate his style of penalty ultimately is any riskier than other approaches.
A team should win or lose together and to snub him shows IMO a lack of class. He didn't get sent off or give away a cynical penalty etc.

I agree, the lad has been treated like he killed someone. He missed a penalty, it doesn't matter how. And anyway I don't see those sort of pens as all that ****ing stupid...they're more commonplace now and they often go in. He just missed, big deal. I thought Pearson's interview was excellent apart from the implication that Kermogant was about to become an outcast.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Didn't get that impression tbh. He just said pens are a lottery, cruel way to go out etc.
As for the penalty, i just don't think you can be trying fancy dinks like that knowing the stakes are so high. The chances of it not coming off are far higher than if you were to smash it. Thought it was completely selfish.
Everyone sees it differently though.
Oh and how distraught was that young lad who missed the last pen for Leicester, ****ing hell
