he can fit him in as well can't he? as a forward, behind the two strikers? or him on the left and heskey() on the right..or something of a similar mould..like i said Kek might have just said that to give the journo something to write about, he also said he expects two or three changes in England's attacking line. I guess well see tommorow(or tonight if Terry gets his way)

Good luck tomorrow... I'll be pulling for USA to win the Group, but I really wish good luck to the other teams in the Group. USA need a win and I hope we can do it; we are terrible in the third Group game at the World Cup, having never won. Our record?

We lost 2-1 to Ghana in 2006, 3-1 to Poland in 2002, 1-0 to Yugoslavia in 1998, 1-0 to Romania in 1994, 2-1 to Austria in 1990 and 5-2 to Chile in 1950. Before the four team Group format? we lost 7-1 to Italy in 1934 and 6-1 to Argentina in 1930.

If the USA win tomorrow, it will be historic... Here's hoping we can get our first win in the final Group game!

haha John Terry really is thick. Joe Cole could have made a big difference to the way England play and even if he was just sticking up for his mate, he's made it impossible for Capello to pick him from the start now.

So defend the flanks and try and crush them down the middle (with Barry and Milner on the wings)? That would be intriguing. I suppose it could be Milner left, Gerrard right with Barry and Lampard left in the middle though.

Obviously Heskey + Rooney hasn't worked but that largely seemed to be because Rooney was off form/unfit. I suppose the idea is to encourage us to play the ball on the deck a bit more. I don't see Defoe getting back and encouraging Rooney to stay up top though which is a shame. I would have thought simplifying his role as Fergusson did last season would be an obvious way to get the most out of him.

The idea Heskey hasn't been able to bring the best out of Rooney is a bit unfair if Rooney isn't able to perform at his best anyway. I did wonder if Capello has been continuing with Heskey at least partly to take the load of leading the line off Rooney. If he picks Defoe or Crouch then there may still be something in it.

                But who knows.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I can see that he wouldn't harm the team by dropping Terry but I think like all managers he wants to prove that his way is the best and picking Cole now falls out of that category.

John Terry is a ****ing idiot and from the affair onwards has played a huge part in ****ing up England's World Cup campaign. He really thinks he is the bees knees.

I hope Capello knows some history. England have lost before on 23rd June thanks to Carrick.

I know it seemed to work in qualifying but I cannot believe Gerrard is marooned on the left again. Of course in reality he'll be everywhere but the left...

Anyone have a link to the lineups for both matches? Cant find them.
