My director is taking the team out for lunch, and then to the pub to watch it

My boss has said we can leave as long as we leave our Blackberry's on, and don't get too pissed that you can't answer it.

Not bad ...bit gay though huh, being "taken to the pub" by the director. Will he take you to some lame family fun pub, a Brewers Fayre or something?

There's bound to some lads so utterly desperate with nowhere else to turn than to have to make the glaringly transparent phone call in the morning and call in sick

I finish work at 3.45pm, so the plan is watch the first half in work. Sky+ the second half and watch that when I get back. Just need to avoid the radio on the way home, and random screams and groans coming from any pubs I drive past on the way back.

Nah I think we're going to go to the local football team's club house to watch it

Marky will be gutted. If he hadn't used the jumping the turnstiles story and got banned he'd have been on here claiming to have been sacked for doing just that.

John Terry has rubbished reports of disharmony in the England camp and insisted all the players are fully behind manager Fabio Capello, although there will be a squad meeting on Sunday night to clear the air.

Stories have surfaced suggesting that some members of the squad are unhappy with Capello's strict regime as well as his tactics in the opening two games of the World Cup.

Having failed to impress in a 1-1 draw with USA in their first match, the Three Lions then received more criticism following a goalless stalemate against Algeria.

England must now beat Slovenia on Wednesday to make sure of a place in the last 16 and Terry insists the players are focused on getting the result they need.

"I have seen a few reports myself this morning, but coming here on behalf of the players I can say there is no unrest in the camp at all," the defender said on Sky Sports News.

"We are obviously still disappointed from the game the other night but we come again on the training field and we have to pick ourselves up and realise we going to the final game needing a win."
                        Unified

Terry, stripped of the captaincy earlier this year following allegations about his private life, maintains that nobody in the squad has a problem with Capello's man-management skills.

"I am not going to sit here and question the manager. I am here on behalf of the players and we are all fully behind the manager," he explained.

"Since the manager has come in he has had his ways and his philosophies and his ideas, and that has worked in the campaign, so nothing should change from there.

"We shouldn't be looking at excuses or criticising the manager. He takes a lot of responsibility being England manager.

"All we can do as a group of players is stay unified and stay together and make sure we get the win."

                        Meeting

The players will get the opportunity to spell out their views to Capello at a meeting and Terry expects some frank exchanges.

Asked about his disgraced Chelsea team-mate Nicolas Anelka being sent home by France, Terry joked: "I see Nico was sent home for voicing his opinion and maybe a few of us will be sent home after this evening.

The centre-back added: "If we feel something has to change, we owe it to the country and the manager to say it in that meeting tonight. If it upsets him or any other player, so what."

                        Cole support

Some of the reports regarding player unrest claimed that a number of players were confused by Joe Cole's omission from the first two matches, with Capello not even bringing the Chelsea midfielder on as a substitute.

There have been calls for Cole to start against Slovenia and Terry believes his club-mate would perform well if selected, describing him as one of the most creative players in the squad.

"He was a great boost for Chelsea coming back from injury," said Terry

"I personally think that he and Wayne are the only two players in the side that can really open up things and the key to breaking down defences.

"If he is called upon, Joe will do a great job."

Is Terry now the captain? Shouldnt the captain be the one coming out with something like that, could see Terry and Gerrard fight over who's the boss.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
