Fair enough Neil. I was watching the game specifically to note Konks and Lucas's games. Konk made two uneasy passes out of defence, one for which Stevie rightly berated him.
However, once he got his confidence there were 3 instances from the left corner flag where he was just about to 'hoof' (our trademark for the last year unfortuantely) ala Riise style down the line. Was expecting to lose possession and have Brum string their next aerial attack within the next 30 seconds. BUT, and here's the key, in those three instances when Brum players were awaiting predicted hoof, Konk changed his stance at the last minute and made 3 slightly dangerous but calculated passes infield (almost reverse pass style) to Poulson and someone else.
This led us to not only retain possession and give our defence breathing time, but even instigated decent counter attacks when Brum players were all caught on their heels trying to backtrack expected but not forthcoming hoofs. Had Jovanovic not been playing those counters might actually have resulted in one goal at least (or at least decent goal attempt).
Further upfield, Konk's ball retention and one two's with Jova were pleasing on the eye if a little short lived. Two of his attempted crosses turned out to be clever short passes into the area where Jova ran into space, unfortunately Jova again... sigh. Finally, Konk made a great run past the RB into acres of space and Jova (sigh again) overhit the simple bl**dy pass or we were in for a very good chance to get 3 points before his injury. (I stand to be corrected on this one, need to watch the game again).
Sorry for the long winded post (and as Shaggy says, I'm only typing one handed while I have another load blowing moment) but just trying to state my Columbo style facts. Just the facts madam. ;-)
I will be watching the Match on LFC.tv next time its on to go over the crosses bit. Maybe they weren't as deep as I first thought. Need to get my facts straight.

It's really not that important. I'm probably overemphasising the negatives too.
