One taken. We obviously disagree about the merits of Koncheskey. While no world beater, he's a solid PL player IMO. Plenty of England u21 caps and 2 first team caps suggest about that.

Carlton Palmer, Andy Sinton, Geoff Thomas and many more **** players got more caps than that.

Insua had only one full season here and he's had a decent season despite what people say. I think he's been treated very harshly. Saying that Konchesky is a better player when he's been mediocre at best all his playing career is absolutely ludicrous, no disrespect to you.

We are a stronger unit with Konchesky, not that the rest of the PL didnt know but what sort of signals does this send out?

Roy seems to be from the better the devil you know camp, he seems unprepared to take to man risks in the transfer market hence Konchesky instead of the Salcido's of this world, same with Carlton Cole.

He definitely has a presence about him. He's used to performing on the big stage. He's also used to taking his fair share of abuse from the crowd and isn't afraid to give some back. Not a bad shout Shaggy, not a bad shout

Lots and lots of posters reckon they're happy about it and that Konchesky improves the squad.

I don't think he does. I think he's nowhere near good enough for LFC, whether we're skint or not. No-one expected Ashley Cole or Philip Lahm. A few of us expected the likes of Konchesky when we downgraded our manager, and were ridiculed for it. "He's coming to Liverpool, he won't be Fulham manager anymore!!!!!1"

We all form opinions on players in the league we watch. I've watched Konchesky for years now, and I think he's ****. Not once have I ever been close to thinking "oooh, I wish he played for us".

And all those forcing themselves to be happy about it...have you ever watched Konchesky and wished he played for us? It's funny cos as supporters we're always making suggestions as to who we could/should sign. I don't recall anyone ever proposing Konchesky. In fact, if anyone had - pre-Roy - they'd have been laughed off the forum. Yet now we have apologists trying to justify it.

Roy got the best out of average players at fulham so lets hope he gets th best out of an average player in Konchesky. Although Average is better than Poor which is how i rate Insua.....although he has the potential to get good one day.
