Rafa managed us into this position last season mate and left us without Champs League and with several flops, Roy is merely trying to recover and put his stamp on the team. I'm not thrilled by the signings but lets not jump on Roy's back just yet. The club was well ****ed when he arrived.

Lets wait until Gerrard/Torres & Cole are fully fit and playing together, and Poulsen and Merieles (have my doubts) are up to speed in the premier league. Also pray Aurelio stays fit and Konchesky instead of Insua is a bonus. If things still aren't functionig by then, well then Roy deserves critiscism, until then IMO he should be given a break.

I think Konchesky will put in several solid (yet unspectacular) performances over the next few weeks, and people on here will be raving about him, including him in the MOM threads etc.

2-year contract I could accept but 4 years for 29-year old LB is ludicrous to say at least.
