No-one expected Ashley Cole. In fact far from people needing "a reality check", many people saw this type of signing coming when we downgraded our manager. Equally many people rubbished the suggestion. Well now it's happened.

Konchesky and Carlton Cole are mid-table players. Nevertheless, I wish The Konch luck as I do Carlton Cole if he comes.

In all fairness, he's not going to be a Cole or a Carlos, but i'd settle for a solid defender on one side who knows when to tuck in or force a player one way or another and he'll do that at least.

As for Jones, well he wont play so no big deal, if we'd sold Pepe and bought him then i'd understand all the uproar but ffs we turned a profit on Cavalieri and its another 'homegrown' player for the squad. Remember buying Kirkland and Dudek on the same day? That was a waste of money back when we could vaguely afford it!
