Thanjk you.
Paul.S
2-year contract I could accept but 4 years for 29-year old LB is ludicrous to say at least.
Is there any 33 year old still playing in his position for a decent club?
Aye, i'm stunned that he's been given a 4 year old deal but then again we're LFC, a ****ing shambles at the present time so in that sense,
it's not really surprising.
Good luck to him, I really hope he proves alot of us wrong...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Welcome Paul, you will get my support in a red shirt. But.
Nearly 30, 4 year contract and reported £4million is a joke, we are supposed to be skint. This is nearly as ridiculous as Luke Young the other week, imagine Young at Rb and Konch LB, medicority, in fact probably relegation standard full backs. Thankfully Young turned us down...lol...
Fulham, in my opinion, have replaced him with a better player, Salcido. I have watched the mexican for 5 years or so in Cl and internationals and have only ever been impressed.
It scared me getting Hodgson as manager, I still think he's never done anything to warrant managing LFC and transfer's like this, the interest in Carthorse Cole and performacnes on the pitch up to now do little to change my mind Im afraid.

Be careful mate, some angry people might shout at you for that.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
I certainly don't believe that we'd be better off with Rafa in charge in our current plight. I expect us to sell good players, I don't expect us to sign top players. We're not in the CL so big names are a no no, and we don't have the money to tempt them. Our squad at the end of last year was a mixed bag of quality, mediocrity and dross. It still is.
We're only worse overall because Mascherano left, something that Rafa wouldn't have prevented. Our squad could click and we can push for 4th or 5th, or we may be solidly in mid-table. And to be honest , I don't really give a **** anymore. The prospect of winning things was fun while it lasted, but I am now content to watch us play, celebrate wins and not get too angry when things don't go well. It's just not worth the stress.

Without wishing to argue mate (you have 10000 posts and I 7) doesnt that sum up the mediocrity?
We just accept it all and get on?
See I am annoyed that only 15 months ago we won at the Bernabau, Mancs etc easily, potentially should have won the league and never ever built on it. Rafa's fault? yes, i guess some of it was, board's fault, yes, the large majority of the problems were, but, we then have a season where our main goal threat is injured for 35+ games and noting he scored I think 18 in the 23 games he played how much difference does having him fit make? in fact how much difference would it have made in 2009/10 if he was fit? I guess we will never know. We then sack the manager and replace him with a cheap inferior manager and end up with, again in my opinion (and I have seen every game) worse football with pretty much even more negative tactics than Rafa, apart from the one game where we all would have played 2 defensive CM's, which was just suicide??

Whatever
You're right, I guess I have accepted it. To do otherwise would be to punish myself. I've watched shut Liverpool sides before and had a similar reaction: continue to support but step back from being so emotionally involved and respond to defeats with a shrug of resignation. Shame.

I think, all things being equal, we'd be better off with Benitez as manager because I think he's a better manager, as his record proves.
That's one of the reasons I don't give a **** either.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I think if we had money we'd be better of with Rafa, but In our current situation Roy is a better fit. Rafa was far to out spoken and caused unrest at the club. Roy will let the board sort it self out and just get on with the coaching of the team.
My only gripe this summer was the failure to sign a striker and Rafa did exactly the same. I'd also have liked Lucas shipped out but at least hodgson looked into that. I think Roy is getting rid of the right players, he just lacks the money to buy big improvements.
Roy got the best out of average players at fulham so lets hope he gets th best out of an average player in Konchesky. Although Average is better than Poor which is how i rate Insua.....although he has the potential to get good one day.
