Well they lost something like their first 9 matches under him ...including being knocked out of the FA Cup by Bristol Rovers ....so he got them in the **** in the first place. I think they won 4 of their last 5 games to stay up, which is truly incredible by Hodgson's standards.

I honestly thought he'd come into that job in about March or something, and just had about 10 games to keep them up. Didnt realise it, but he actually took the job at the end of December 2007, so had basically half a season.
