Lets see it done to the Madrid, Barca, Chelsea and Man Cities of this world if they breach the rules.

Still have a feeling if one of the "big boys" breach the rules they'll get away with it especially if its deemed to harm their CL revenue

Manchester City and Paris St Germain are among a number of clubs who have been offered settlements for breaching financial fair play (FFP) rules, it can be revealed.
UEFA's club financial control board (CFBCB) has made offers to all the clubs deemed to have breached the rules ahead of its meeting on Thursday. The clubs - understood to be fewer than 20 in total and including Manchester City and PSG - can either accept the offer of the sanctions, which could range from a reprimand to a fine up to restrictions on the squad for European competition next season, or try to negotiate a lesser punishment. If no agreement is reached, then the outstanding cases will go to an adjudicatory panel for a final decision.

We are trying to enforce teams who over-spend and create a level playing field. If you don't adhere to these rules, you can just pay us a fat cheque and in no way punish you where it would actually hurt.

so for a sum of money Uefa will make the rule breakers legit again. Its so ****ing obvious that FFP is bull****.

It was always going to be made into a money making scheme for Uefa, legit or not.

Didn't they threaten Champions League expulsion when it was first introduced? I'll be honest, I haven't paid much attention to Financial Fair Play, but what were the initial penalties for failing to adhere to the rules?

It's just a UEFA cash cow.

It was always going to end like this wasn't it? Ridiculous punishing multi-billionaire owners with fines...

Will be moronic if they fine clubs a paltry amount for breachingr ffp. But doesnt that say sanctions ranging from a fine to more severe?

Yeah....but Platini came out last week and said expulsion from the CL would not be a measure used this time around.
Fines were mentioned, and again today obviously, but point deduction was motioned as well.
That way clubs would still get their TV dosh, but wouldn't progress from the group stage in all likelihood.

Think UEFA would just like the check though please.

I see. Thanks for the detail.

I think it would be very beneficial for football to have a complete overhaul of FIFA, UEFA and the FA ... but I doubt I'll ever see it in my lifetime.

                            Amen.

No doubt these fines will be 'filtered into the grass roots game'.*

                            *May not be true.
