I have not confused anything mate, generally in football terms 'this year' means this season, just the same way a financial year is April to March and not Jan to Dec. If someone tells me 'we are going to win the league this year' I don't correct them and say that United already have.

Admittedly I did give Bob more credit than he deserved in assuming that when he said one tackle per game when Johnson had made exactly twelve tackles that he meant one tackle per month, but regardless of what year or what 'season' he is talking about, 'less than one tackle per game' makes absolutely no sense.

A financial year is still a year as it spans 12 months. A football season is never a 'year' as they don't span 12 months - hence why it's referred to as a 'season'. It's pretty straight forward surely?

Ha ha, that's a fair point, but that was just a bad example using the financial year and serves me right for logging back on after too many shandys.

Either way a football season can still be referred to as a year, whether it's technically correct or not. Player of the year (and I don't mean the Ballon D'or which is each callendar year)?

And regardless, it still wouldn't explain why Bob thought Johnson had played less than 12 games in any version of any year?

I think we have a nice balance with Henderson & Glen. But take Glen away & Hendo gets shown up. In much the same breath without a more level headed wide player like Hendo, Glen looks a bit average.

Wisdom done okay against a lot of heavy traffic down his side. Looks a bit uncomfortable when in possession though and doesn't see moves ahead of him.
