In the second half it was noticeable he stayed back more and played things simple so I would put money on Rodgers having told him to do so as we were already one up and there was no need to over commit in attack.
Apart from being a willing runner, he was poor on weds.

Gave the ball away time and again.

If still like to keep him though as I think BR will get more out of him.

Good attacking full backs are very hard to find, as evidenced by the fact that we may be looking at 33 year old Ashley Cole on massive wages to finally sort left back. (I don't think we are but it's widely reported)

No way I'd sell Johnson, especially not now when we are able to enter the big leagues again.

Agger is very similar IMO, he's been doing the same thing for 8 years now - Returns from injury, gives us 2 good performances followed by 2 bad ones and then he's injured for a month. Rinse and repeat.
I wouldn't be overly upset if both left this summer tbh but if BR decides otherwise obviously I'll trust his judgement.

Very good today, its one end of the spectrum or the other with him. Thankfully it was at the right end this time.

We owe Pompy a million quid if we win the league.

We'd probably be the biggest backer of their club with that cash!

Thought he was poor yesterday, gave away possession so many times & slows down our attacks. Seems to have lost some pace or confidence? Oul Skrtel got caught out twice trying to cover Johnson..whilst Johnson was in a dream state.

He was not poor yesterday. His biggest error IMO was underestimating the pace on a cross field ball that went out of play, but didn't do that much wrong otherwise.

He made a few important clearances, including an important header off the line.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

It's the same post ad nauseam when it comes to Johnson & Perkins.

He wasn't his brilliant best yesterday but he was far from poor IMO
