The start of this thread is an absolute mess.

I'd rather remember his first two seasons with us rather than his last two.

He caused numerous heated discussions between me and my brother - I rated him highly, he said that the fullbacks called Kyle from Spurs were better. We might have both been wrong in hindsight, but I still say that when he was good, he was a top class footballer. He just dropped off remarkably.

Anyway, we have the same conversations about Sakho now. My brother says he's the worst footballer he's ever seen and thinks Lovren is better. He is wrong.

Yeah he was dynamite for us early on but he had an eye removed or something because he could see how to kick a ball or dribble without walking it into the oppositions legs.

There was always a debate about how good a defender he was, I thought in the first few years he was here he did a great job, exactly what we needed, but the last couple of years he has been really poor, it's a shame he could have kept up the level we saw from him in the first few years because that is what we need to replace, not the Johnson that has been warming the bench for the last year or so. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

I think he can still be a pretty good player. Just needs a change of scenery. Different club and manager, playing every week I'm sure he can start producing good form again. His LFC career was definitely just not working anymore, which is a shame as he was very good for quite a number of seasons.
