    A caution would have been the correct punishment for this.

    I don't think it was a red and I'm pretty sure if it was Suarez we'd be up in arms on how unfair and corrupt the FA are.

    I guess it come down to people see what they want to see and how they interpret what has happened.

    The interpretation of violent conduct says it needs to involve use of excessive force off the ball. It implies no contact is necessary by saying 'in danger of injuring'.
