He was sent out on loan when Gerrard was still injured meaning Kenny was happy with 4 CM’s in CA, JH, LL and JS. Lucas got injured at the end of November meaning we only had 3 available CM’s as Gerrard didn’t make his comeback until boxing Day, hence Shelvey getting recalled. Once Gerrard came back, we didn't really need him.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?Comment

No, I agreed with you. I think he was brought back as cover for Gerrard, Jay was cover for Lucas. It then makes sense to get Shelvey back out, if Gerrard is back. Although I'd like to see him given some game time tomorrow, at the expense of Henderson and with the cover of Gerrard and Spearing.Comment

I would use Gerrard sparingly for the rest of season and give Shelvey a chance. We already know what Gerrard is capable of and he’s going to be playing competitive games in the summer so I’d take it easy on him for the remainder of the season and not risk injuring him again.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?Comment

Love the mans self confidence. He's got such a fearless attitude. For me he should start every game between now and the end of the season. I already think he's a more intelligent footballer than Henderson. In the short space of time he was on the pitch you saw him demand for the ball and was incisive with it as he often is. I know a few don't rate him on here, consider him slow and a poor tackler but I think he's got the ability and the right mentality to go far imo.

He had one start against Villa and did well. He has not had a start since or barely any appearance of any sort.
