Yeah, you could definitely see that happening.

        Hopefully not for us though.

He's got a fantastic attitude (if only the rest of the squad were the same), but he's limited as a footballer. We must have better.

Keep him as a squad player or sell in the summer.
        We come not to play.

          Absolutely
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
          Mine angry and defrauded young?

His wife carried on her work as a nurse in an old people's home even when Dirk was banging in the goals in Holland. And now she works on all their charity projects.

              What lovely people.

Dirk Kuyt signs new contract to extend Liverpool stay until 2013

Dirk Kuyt has agreed a new contract with Liverpool which will keep him at Anfield until 2013.

The 30-year-old's previous deal was due to expire next summer, but, following positive talks with the Anfield hierarchy, he has agreed to sign on for another season.

"I am very happy," Kuyt told Sportspromotion.

"We have been working on something, but always with the intention to reaching an agreement. The club had this approach too, so I must say that all conversations were conducted in a friendly atmosphere.

"It fits perfectly with the feeling here at the club. From the very first day I walked in, I felt welcome. That feeling has never left."

Kenny Dalglish was satisfied with the move as he praised the Dutch international, who has scored nine goals in 27 appearances this term.

"Dirk is the Liverpool player of choice. He never gives up, fights with everything, and he is simply a good footballer. He scores goals and it's as simple as that, and often in major competitions or at crucial moments, like the recent Manchester United game," Dalglish said.

"Dirk is happy with the extension, and I am sure we will enjoy having him around longer."

The Reds are chasing a top-four finish, and their win over Manchester City has left them within eight points of that objective.

They face Arsenal away on Sunday, but Kuyt is certain they can challenge for the Champions League places.

"Every match is a kind of final for us," said Kuyt.

"We have become stronger after attracting Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll. The group is fit and eager. There is still everything possible, I'm convinced.''

Carroll scored twice in the 3-0 victory over the Citizens which has reignited faint hopes of a fourth place finish.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

nice one, good squad player. I have been after him as a winger, but it's impossible to say anything negative towards his attitude, proffesionalism and work ethics.

Great guy to have in the team, and he has been one of our most consistent players this season and I'm happy he has extended his stay. Will be usefull for many positions.

                          - He's not winger, he's a wide player.

                          - Same thing.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Nice to see something sensible regarding contract length, as good as he is theres no need to go round lashing massively long contracts to players over 30, hopefully we've put a stop to that now.

I think all of us will feel particular satisfaction when Dirk gets a PL medal with us. He's worth far more than what he does on the pitch (which can be erratic) plus he's unbreakable.
