Nice 3 year contract Christian blagged for himself under the pretense of being a footballer.
Up to him if he wants out to play football at the end of the season........all we could do is make life difficult for him. Train with the reserves or kids (although do we really want him with our kidlets ? ....infecting them with his **** footballing ability).
Could set the academy back years...........

In fairness to the bloke, we don't know what his personality is like. He might well demand a move in the Summer. We just don't know. And it's not his fault we came in for him. He saw the chance to move to a big club, he took it - surely none of us can blame him for wanting to play for Liverpool FC.

I reckon he'll move on in the Summer. If he refuses to leave for whatever reason then he'll deserve all the abuse he'll have coming to him.

Oh agreed...........same way I don't blame the PFK for taking his misguided chance. Two players who were only two pleased that another big club (in Poulsen's case anyway) would be interested in them.

There aren't too many footballer around like Winston Bogarde.
It will be made clear (if it hasn't already) that he won't get a game here, he still plays for Denmark so rotting with us not playing any games is only going to bring his career to an end sooner.
I expect we'll have to help him out the door financially but he'll be gone, no diggitty no doubt
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Like I says up the top........we'll see what his motivations are if a club comes in for him in the summer.
Nothing personal at all, as he comes across a decent fella in any interviews (although boring as ****), so only he knows what he's thinking at this point in his career. 31 years of age, so slow he's going backwards, unfortunately he's also slow where it counts, zero passing ability, zero ability to control or dictate a game from midfield........truly a bad footballer.
That run he made last week up at the opposition box actually had me laughing when he inevitably ****ed it up with his indecisiveness. I don't even see any inclination that he reads the game well in his appearances for us......which is not something you'd expect to see in an experienced footballer.
I don't say this often, but I really struggle to believe how he has made a career as a footballer........I mean, there's lads up the park on the weekend who could slot more effectively into our midfield than that lad.

Come on, his legs seem to have gone, that's all. Obviously for a defensive midfielder that takes away most of what he does but he was once a decent enough player, even though IMO too limited for a top European side (which we aren't at the moment).
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The former Sevilla and Juventus player has failed to make an impact at the Reds, and has been linked with a move to Danish side Copenhagen at the end of the season.

"At the end of the season, I will evaluate what to do about my future," the 31-year-old was quoted as saying by the Daily Star. "There are many factors to take into consideration.

"I am happy here, as is my family. I have the full support of the side."

The Denmark international has played 12 matches for Liverpool this campaign, but has struggled to find a starting spot since Kenny Dalglish took over from Roy Hodgson as manager.
Really hope he stays, many sleepless nights ahead. Alonso, Masch, Torres and now we could lose Poulsen. I think that will be the final nail in the coffin for this club, god forbid.

I think it's time that football introduced some form of pay as you play or performance related pay system i.e. when you first sign you get paid x amount, when you have reached a required standard you automatically get a payrise to a specified level (this could maybe even be backdated). But it would at least provide an insentive for the player to perform and if they flop their wages aren't so excessive that they can't be moved on.
Exactly , people masquarading as footballers should not be payed.

                            * Liverpool flop in line for Serie A switch

Liverpool misfit Christian Poulsen is set to be offered an escape route from his Anfield nightmare by Italian side Udinese.

The Serie A side are looking to replace the outgoing Gokhan Inler, set to depart the Bianconeri in the summer, and the Danish 31-year-old has been touted to fill the void.

The defensive midfielder has played in Italy before with Juventus, the side ex-Reds manager Roy Hodgson brought Poulsen from for £4.5m only last summer.

Poulsen, who has 81 caps for Denmark, has made only 12 Premier League appearances this campaign and could be offloaded for £2.5m.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Hopefully happens for him and us.

Nothing against the lad as he has been very professional since he came here but he is just good enough to play at the level we expect from our players.

Similar to Aquilani in the fact he just isn't capable for the prem. He does have something about him as captain for Denmark and sides like Udinese after him shows.
