Kompany can consider himself unlucky too. Been a beast this year._____________________________________

EDIT: FWIW I think the PFA are stupid for having this award with 2 months to go in the season.
Isn't the voting done around January? Which makes it even worse.
TBH I thought Paul Scholes would have won it for similar reasons to Ryan Giggs last year. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yes, good point. I think the shortlist is simply the six who got the most votes - it's not like the Oscars where films are nominated and then the vote takes place.
So it'll be Bale because there was so much more hype about him a month or two ago (before his injury) than there has been about anyone else, at least until the recent hype about Parker which I've only noticed in the last couple of weeks (i.e. after the votes were cast)..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Probably Bale followed by Adam as they were hyped so much around the time.
Although you can never write off a Man Utd player in these things...The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
