I think Gerrard, although a fantastic player is a bit of a cock.

I think if somebody offered £25m or more for Gerrard this summer, we should take it
His best days are behind him, and I just don't think he's got it in him to adapt to a more withdrawn role or the loss of power and acceleration. I also think that, similar to Torres, we'll still be able to get decent money for him based on his reputation, before the rest of the footballing world catches on.
Hmmm, that was quite cathartic actually. I may have more to add....

As a player, I guess it has to do with a lot of reasons.
1. I have seen Ronaldo play a lot more times.
2. Some of the free kicks and shots he has taken are simply incredible and Messi couldnt dream of doing them.
3. He is a dick and at times selfish but he is incredibly exciting to watch nonetheless.
4. The PL is my league so I tend to prefer players from the PL over the Primera.
5. ESPN is really **** quality on tv in Australia because of some weird difference in American TV's to Aussie TV's so the Primera (which is on espn) is generally **** quality compared to the PL which is on fox (sky)
6. Before I supported LFC I was a fan of the PL and enjoyed watched most teams (although I did already hate united)96 Never Forgotten

Haha...quote of the day for me!Originally posted by truefan999 View PostI believe that the only way that LFC can play to the strengths of Andy Carroll is if the football is made into a cube.
That way we would have more corners.
:bird:Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

That's not crazy at all IMO. He's nearly 31, £25m would be insane for someone his age.Originally posted by elrichio86 View PostI think if somebody offered £25m or more for Gerrard this summer, we should take it

I was going to say something similar (to the bit in bold) about Gerrard - I think in some ways he causes problems with our set-up.Originally posted by elrichio86 View PostI think if somebody offered £25m or more for Gerrard this summer, we should take it

I feel as great a player as he is his lack of a well defined position is somewhat problematic. It's a view I've held for a while, Rafa negated it with the system of playing him off Torres, but I think it's going to arise again with the current system we play. He isn't and never has been a regular central midfielder, but he' isn't going to be playing the roll off the striker that he did under Rafa. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Although you never know, it could happen! I remember being stunned at Roma forking out £22m for Batistuta at the age of 31, think how long ago that was!
