No way that any other club will offer more than £35m. I hope he end up staying so they won't sign Aguero.

Agree with that, what surprises me is Corinthians never seemed to haggle with the price - they went in with a strong price straight away and it is not very often we see that.

If i was Mancini i would accept the offer, and use the cash to buy Aguero - pray to god it doesnt happen though.

Same here. They will sign him for sure if the drama queen leaves.

Manchester City have rejected Corinthians' £40million bid for Carlos Tevez.

High-level discussions have taken place at City on Tuesday before the decision was made to reject the bid that came late on Monday.

It maintains the level of uncertainty surrounding Tevez's future, with the player desperate to leave for family reasons and City refusing to sanction the departure of their skipper without adequate compensation.

They've turned down £40m I'd be surprised if they get offered more.

That's what it says in the link Arn posted (the post above my last one).

No one expected they would bid at all and then this high so it's possible that they will increase the offer.

They are owned by MSI (his agent Kia Joorabchian was the man in charge until 5 years ago) and they want to be the biggest and best club in South America and they have support to in place to do so.

They are in process of building a new 60,000 seat, £310m stadium and take a guess where WC will play its first game and who is partially financing the stadium..

They have financing options in place to bring Tevez back but he'll have to take a significant cut as they're not prepared to pay him nearly as much as Cityh.

I just hope that this deal is done as soon as possible.

All I've heard on the radio today is 'Tevez this' and 'Modric that' zzzzzzzzzzz
