Because it wasn't 60 mins in to a big CL game with carra looking like a sulking school boy in the dug out with cameras in his face. There was no history, like him whinging about wanting to leave, and carra wasn't considered a top player. And it came out after the event. My guess.

Tevez is a world class player. Carra is an excellent player but most of the other fans thinks he is very average.

They have no interest in what he is doing.

Rafa of course couldn't come out in the same way Mancini did because as I already mentioned. Carra win a battle against Rafa 10 times out of 10 because he is Carra the local lad and Rafa is Rafa.

Mancini can afford to lose Tevez. He won't lose the dressing room because of it. If Rafa had punished Carra then he would have no chance to stay. He would lose the support of most fans and the support of many of the players.

West Ham are interested in bringing Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez back to the Championship club on loan.

Football League rules allow him to sign for a Championship club on loan, even though the transfer window has closed.

City boss Mancini said the 27-year-old refused to come on against Bayern Munich on Tuesday and will not feature for the Manchester club again.

Tevez insists he has nothing to apologise for and believes his team-mates will back his version of events.

Late on Thursday, a senior official at Corinthians told the BBC that the Brazilian club was "at the moment not thinking about" a loan move for the Argentina striker.

In July, Tevez came close to joining Corinthians before the Brazilian club pulled out of the move.

City thought a £40m deal had been agreed for Tevez after he told the Premier League outfit he wanted to return to South America.

Tevez became a fans' favourite at Upton Park as he helped save the Hammers from relegation in 2006-07 before leaving for Manchester United.

But his stay was also marked by controversy.

In April 2007, West Ham were found guilty by a Premier League tribunal of acting improperly and withholding vital documentation over the ownership of Tevez and compatriot Javier Mascherano when they signed the duo in 2006.

Earlier on Friday, West Ham signed Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia on a one-month emergency loan after Robert Green was ruled out for around six weeks.

EXCLUSIVE: Mancini's son has done a Tevez

Roberto Mancini's son refused to come off the subs bench in a Manchester City reserve game.

The Manchester City boss will be left red-faced now the Mirror has revealed 20-year-old Filippo Mancini reacted angrily when told to go on after 80 minutes of the match just six weeks ago.

When the manager of City’s Elite Development Squad Andy Welsh asked him to replace another player, Filippo refused.

Witnesses of the incident at Hyde’s Ewen Fields ground in east Manchester said Filippo swore at Welsh before storming off.

Instead of leaving with the rest of the squad after the match, Filippo is believed to have been driven away from the stadium in a taxi.

A City spokesman admitted the incident had taken place but stressed that Roberto had not been told about it until Friday.

Mancini will be mortified by the revelations, which have emerged just three days after the City boss told Carlos Tevez he would never play for the club again after accusing him of an identical offence.

Mancini said Tevez was “finished” at City after, according to the Italian, refusing to replace Samir Nasri during the club’s Champions League defeat by Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Tevez refutes the allegation. He insists he merely refused to warm up because he had already warmed up and was ready to come on.

The striker has returned to Argentina with his wife and two daughters to escape the scrutiny he is under.

But Tevez has informed City officials he will return at 24 hours’ notice to co-operate fully with the investigation.

The incident involving Filippo happened during a pre-season friendly against Liverpool reserves at Ewen Fields, where City play second-string matches, on August 10.

Mancini’s other son, Andrea, who was also on the bench, did not refuse to play and came on as a 60th minute substitute.

No disciplinary action was taken against Filippo.

Neither of Mancini’s sons are contracted to play for City and were using the match to gain experience and fitness.

Filippo played last season in the Lega Pro Seconde Divisione - Italian football’s fourth division - with Virtus Entella.

“Filippo is a non-contracted, unpaid player who was on the substitutes’ bench for the non-competitive game in question,” the City spokesman added.

“In these circumstances, a disciplinary procedure would have been invoked. However, as he was not an employee of the club, this was not a viable option.

“The matter has been dealt with internally. Roberto Mancini was not aware of this incident.”

City’s team on the day, which only boasted one player with first-team experience, Ivory Coast’s Abdul Razak, won the game, 1-0.

“A lot of people at the club knew about it and were shocked by it,” a City source said.

How could he have done a Tevez six weeks ago? Surely Tevez has done a Mancini.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
