the combination of the PFA, Taylor and Tevez is some of whats wrong in football.

Some indeed but just a part of a very, very long list IMO assessment.

Taylor and the PFA p*ss me off too but I don't think it's wrong for what is effectively a trade union to side with one of their members who has been fined more than allowed in his terms and conditions of employment.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

          Terrible affair.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Latest twist - although the daily mail so...:

Manchester City rebel Tevez eyes move to another Premier League club

Carlos Tevez would consider staying in England and moving to another Premier League club.

The Argentinian striker has been exiled by Manchester City following his fall-out with boss Roberto Mancini.

Tevez was fined four weeks wages, later reduced to two weeks following a complaint by the PFA, after he failed to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Tevez has been linked with a £25m move to Brazilian side Corinthians and Italian side Napoli in the January transfer window.

But Tevez's agent Kia Joorabchian said the 27-year-old would welcome a move to another Premier League club.

'His family are now living in England, so he’s quite happy and settled,' Joorabchian told the Daily Mirror.

Harry Redknapp is one manager interested in signing Tevez but admits Tottenham would have difficulty funding the deal.

'What a player he would be on loan but I think his wages are going to be a problem for anyone to take him,' he said

'It's going to be a massive club only that can pay him £200,000 a week.'

I can't really see any English teams wanting to take him on. For a start whilst he says (or his agent says anyway) that he is settled now, how long will that last? Plus of course the ridiculous wages.

As a player, I'd absolutely love him in our team. Him and Suarez would be brilliant together. But as a person no thank you. Too much of a circus around him now. He's tainted goods.

So basically, unless we can have him for £10m, and he accepts 50k a week wages, I'd prefer us to stay away

It would be a though one, even for the 2 seasons he would stay settled he would be brilliant. He is one of the worlds best strikers and can improve just about any team.

But it would be a media circus getting him, and he would most likely break the wage limit so probably not worth it.

Harry's laying the foundations for a loan move there

tevez has (or sorry, probably more his agent) ****ed himself over.

UNless he's prepared to take a HUGE pay cut. No team will go for him.....No-one will want to pay a £25m ish transfer fee and £200k a week for him, especially given his 'off the pitch' antics, and that in a couple years time he'll prob want off again.

i've said all along in this thread, i hope city screw the ****er over.

Cheeky cunt doesn't deserve to get a move to another prem side, or a top side in europe....City should only sell either cheaply back to South America to get rid of him or to that russian side with billions, where noone will ever hear of him again.

I would be surprised in anyone will take him at £25m and £200k a week, but if there were loan deals like the Adebayor deal available I'd imagine teams would be lining up to take him. It depends on what City's priorities are.

                          **** off Redknapp you ****.

                          Torn on Tevez. Very torn.

**** it, get him in for a season. If he sorts his head out and gets us into the CL then great. If he doesn't then we can flog him to whoever.

Price and wages make this a no-go though IMO view.

well yeah - the guys a prick...

but i'd take him in a heart beat, on loan, paying half his wages, till then end of the season - he'd try hard for 6 months, work well with suarez, and we'd get champions league.

but i'd be seriously worried about signing him permantley, especially for the transfer fee/wages that'd it would take to get him

thing is I hate him for how he behaves, his piss poor attitude and seeming contempt to both his team-mates but also the fans of the club he plays for.

The thing is though he's a damn good player and if by some bizarre turn of events he ended up at Anfield I'd be happy to see him play obviously always with it in the back of the mind he's one strop from kicking off again.

I think that's the problem with people like him, he's a talent and although most supporters want to see him hung out and screwed over we'd still not complain too much if he turned out in our shirt.

A loan deal paying half of his wages would probably be a good deal, but there's no way we should even consider signing him on a permanent deal.
