I hope Simeone goes there cos then I can continue to detest them. AM might be everyone's favourite plucky underdogs, but they're a horrible shower of diving niggling *******s.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostI think Abramovich will try, but I reckon Pep will want something with a bit more stability. Although he knows folk at Man City, it has been said a number of times when manager of Barcelona how he admires Man Utd, and could see himself managing there.
I could see someone like Simeone at Chelsea.Felching ≠ Gerbilling

Spanish football journalist Graham Hunter reveals what Pep Guardiola is planning for after leaving Bayern Munich. Hunter has spoken to people close to Guardiola and believes the Spaniard would like Manchester United to be his next employers.
Those reasons include a transfer to Old Trafford that fell through late in his playing career. Hunter added: "The move didn't happen but when he's come back to Manchester subsequently he's looked at the Old Trafford atmosphere, the legends and he has felt 'this is right for me’."

Will be interesting to see what he's made of in the PL. The Bundesliga is so much different and he took over an exceptional team there, all of City, United and Chelsea will need work to a certain degree.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

None of the above teams have players that can play the Pep way. At least not to the standard Pep will want. So first season will be spent buying £200+m worth of ball playing defenders, midfielders and obviously attackers.
He'll need his mate Tixi for that to avoid getting bum deals - which are always waiting to strike. Its not as though he can just go out and buy Ronaldo, Messi, Suarez, Neymar, etc.
And the PL is an unforgiving place when you get it slightly wrong. Whether its a wet, cold night in Stoke or a dry, warm one in Leicester. One tit for another.

Good point - There is a tad of Mourinho (only massive clubs) in him, two massive clubs with resources beyond most others. Dont get me wrong he introduced an new dimension to Barca and it worked, but the changes at Bayern have been subtle but, again the players he has had are at the top top level. Could he take the Utd team as is and turn them into world beaters, its doubtful.Originally posted by The_weatherman View Post
