Agreed, I wouldv'e preferred Mata to Downing for the same kind of money...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Mata and Modric would reinvigorate that Chelsea midfield. It is exactly the type of signings they need. Mata is rumored to cost 30 million and Modric if he moves will cost the same or more.Originally posted by Imy View PostGuillemBalague Guillem Balague
Mata move 2 Chelsea closer. It's a matter of hours. Clubs agreed fee, personal terms agreed too. He's very much looking 4ward to it

Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o Eto'o was not included in the squad for Inter's final pre-season friendly on Sunday, which ended 2-2 against Olympiakos of Greece
Samuel Eto'o will join Russia's Anzhi Makhachkala in the coming days as long as he passes a medical, his agent says.
The Cameroonian is set to leave Inter Milan for a move which will reportedly make him the world's best-paid player.
"The deal will likely take place on Monday or Tuesday at the latest, as long as Samuel successfully completes his medical," his agent, Claudio Vigorelli, was quoted as saying.
An increased offer from Anzhi is understood to have clinched the deal.
Eto'o, a three-time African Footballer of the Year, was not included in Inter's squad for their final pre-season friendly against Olympiakos on Sunday night.
Recently, his family moved out of the Eto'o home in Milan and into a hotel.
The Indomitable Lion is expected to be awarded a three-year contract worth 20m Euros per season, surpassing the salaries earned by Lionel Messi at Barcelona and Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.
The 30-year-old is the most decorated player in African history, having won the Champions League three times, the Spanish and Italian leagues as well as two Nations Cups and an Olympic gold.
Anzhi, from the troubled southern Russian province of Dagestan, is owned by billionaire oil tycoon Suleiman Kerimov.
The club has only had one full season back in the Russian top flight but has become a major player under an owner who who has poured money into the club.
In Forbes magazine's latest list of the world's richest people, his net worth was estimated at US$7.8 billion.
Despite the dangers in Dagestan, where a low-level Islamic insurgency has made the republic very unstable, Anzhi have already managed to attract players such as Roberto Carlos and Yuri Zhirkov.
Anzhi players live and train at a training camp outside Moscow for security reasons and travel to Makhachkala for home games, flying about 2,000 kilometers (1,250 miles) 15 times a season.Last edited by Gibbo; 22-08-11, 12:03 AM.The times they are a changin'.
